My Mom has a signed copy of Marion’s poetry book. She was our neighbor when we lived on Eagle Lake Road (in the 1970s). She lived in a large old scary looking house on a heavily wooded/overgrown lot…which was located about where the new high school driveway is now (entry off Eagle Lake rd).

Honestly, I don’t recall ever meeting her, but my Mom says I must have. I did know of her and seen her in her garden, I would have been elementary school age when we lived on Eagle Lake Rd, I was always scared of that big house on the wooded lot and the old lady that lived there…Which is truly a shame…Because from reading her book today, I am certain she was a person I would have loved to know.

The hand written inscription is tough to read, but it says, “in Memory of 24 years and more.”
